The Roslyn Viaduct Reconstruction

ROSLYN VIADUCT
All travel lanes are now fully operational on the Roslyn Viaduct as they were prior to the reconstruction of the bridge. The width of all lanes has been restored to 12 feet and the speed limit has been changed back to 45 mph.

The new eight foot shoulders on each side of the bridge are also now operational. However, the new sidewalk and pedestrian railing on the south side of the bridge are not completed as yet so the sidewalk is not open to pedestrians at this time.

The Department of Transportation appreciates the patience and cooperation of motorists and the local community throughout the reconstruction of the Viaduct.

CURRENT WEEKLY TRAFFIC INFORMATION:
(Updated 11/10/11)

WITTE LANE/CHURCH STREET
A permanent concrete barrier separates the eastbound and westbound lanes on Witte Lane. There are two westbound lanes leading to Bryant Avenue. One eastbound lane allows motorists from Bryant Avenue to make a right onto the ramp leading to the westbound Viaduct or a left onto Church Street. There is no direct access from Church Street onto the Viaduct. Cars should not go around the permanent barrier on Witte Lane to access the Viaduct. Motorists heading south on Church Street must make a right turn onto Witte Lane to Bryant Avenue and then make a left turn onto Bryant Avenue and continue through Roslyn to access westbound Northern Blvd.
